McCANDLESS, Pa. - The La Roche University women's soccer team announced it's Fall 2021 schedule on Thursday.

The Redhawks will play a total of 15 regular season games (eight conference, seven non-conference) from August 31 to October 26. Eight of those games will be played at La Roche's home field, the Baierl Athletic Complex. LRU did not play any NCAA sanctioned games in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

La Roche is set to compete in three scrimmages against Grove City (8/21), Bethany (8/25) and Carlow (8/28) before opening regular season play. Women's soccer will play their season opener at home against non-conference opponent Geneva College on Wednesday, September 1st at 5:00 p.m.

The Redhawks will play all seven of their non-conference games in the month of September. They kick-off on Friday, September 3rd in a city duel with D-III juggernaut Carnegie Mellon University. The road contest will start at 7:00 p.m. under the lights at CMU's campus in Oakland. LRU will then play five games against schools from the President Athletics Conference (PAC). Three of those contests will be on the road against Waynesburg (9/7 at 5:00 p.m.), Franciscan (9/15) and St. Vincent (9/17 at 2:00 p.m.). Two of those games will be at home against Westminster (9/10 at 5:00 p.m.) and Thiel (9/21 at 5:00 p.m.).

Conference play will begin on Saturday, Septemeber 25th at home against Hilbert College. Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m. The Redhawks will then conclude their non-conference schedule at home against Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) member Muskingum University on Tuesday, September 28th.

In the month of October, LRU will play seven conference contests. They will travel to Pitt Bradford on Saturday, October 2nd for a 2:00 p.m. start time. The team then gets seven days off before hosting Medaille College on Saturday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. The Redhawks will then travel to face Penn St. Altoona (10/12) and Penn St. Behrend (10/16 at 2:00 p.m.) La Roche's final two home regular-season contests will be played against Mt. Aloysius (10/20 at 1:00 p.m.) and Alfred State (10/23 at 1:00 p.m.) Senior Day will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23rd prior to the game against Alfred State. LRU concludes their regular season on the road vs. defending AMCC Champion Pitt Greensburg on Tuesday, October 26th at 1:00 p.m.

After regular season play, the top six seeds in the conference will qualify for the conference championship tournament. The AMCC Championship Tournament will begin on Saturday, October 30th with seeds 3 through 6 competing in the quarterfinals. The higher seeds will host. The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, November 3rd. The number one and two seeds will host. The conference Championship game will be played on Saturday, November 6th at the highest remaining seed.
