Women's Bowling Competes In AMCC #2

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – La Roche women's bowling traveled to New Jersey this weekend to take part in AMCC #2, traditional play, hosted by New Jersey City University.

The Redhawks ended the weekend with a record of 0-10, placing 11th in the process.

La Roche totaled 6,234 pins over the 10 matches, giving itself an average per game score of 124.7.

On opening night, the Redhawks squared off against Alvernia and Penn State-Behrend, falling to the Wolves 843-717 and then 829-689 to the Lions.

Saturday saw La Roche in four matchups. The finals of those matches were defeats at the hands of Pitt-Greensburg (698-657) in a hard-fought match, William Smith (986-586), St. Vincent (867-516) and Penn State-Altoona (693-566).

In Sunday's final leg of the weekend, La Roche was unable to grab a victory, falling in all four matches to Hilbert (707-578), Pitt-Bradford (779-645), another hard-fought defeat to Mt. Aloysius (674-650) and New Jersey City (827-630).

The Redhawks unfortunately did not qualify for the AMCC Championships, but still have some bowling left in the season. Next go around is the Mount Shootout that takes place February 9-11.
