NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - Tuesday morning, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released the 2021 men's soccer pre-season coaches' poll. The La Roche men's soccer team was predicted to finish 5th in the conference standings. Medaille College and Penn State Behrend were selected as preseason favorites, tying for the top spot in the preseason rankings.

La Roche men's soccer has made the AMCC playoffs for 13 straight seasons (2007-present). Under first year head coach Anthony Russo, the Redhawks are expected to continue that streak in 2021. Over the last 10 seasons, LRU men's soccer has posted a 53-32-7 (.624) record in conference games. Since the 2020 fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's been nearly two years since the Redhawks have competed in an NCAA sanctioned game. Last season, La Roche played five exhibition games in the spring, going 2-2-1.

Listed as Players to Watch in the AMCC preseason poll were senior defender Tanner Cook (Norwin, PA/Norwin) and sophomore forward Tyler Bryan (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth)

Tanner Cook has made 28 starts on defense in two seasons and has tallied three career points. He will bring leadership and experience to the Redhawks defensive front.

Tyler Bryan played in two exhibition games in spring 2021. Bryan was named to the All-WPIAL and All-Section teams his senior year at Avonworth high school. He will be a focal point in the Redhawks attack.
