Title: Assistant Coach

Jason Dolak is in his first year as an assistant coach for the men’s basketball program.

Prior to La Roche, Coach Dolak spent a combined eleven seasons as a high school boys basketball head coach at two Pennsylvania high schools: Harbor Creek (2009-2014) and South Park (2015-2021). He also spent time as an assistant coach at both the high school and college levels.

Jason is a 2004 graduate of La Roche where he was a captain on the Men’s Basketball program’s first ever AMCC Conference championship team. Following his senior season in 2003-2004, he was named Team MVP, and he won both the Harry G. Austin Scholar Athlete Award for La Roche athletes and the AMCC Male Scholar-Athlete of the year. Over his four year career, Dolak played in 104 games for the Redhawks, which still ranks him 7th all-time. During his championship 2003-2004 senior season, he finished in the top 10 in the conference in scoring, rebounding and free throw percentage; and in the top 15 in 3pt. shooting and steals per game.

Since graduating from La Roche, Jason has earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University. He currently teaches English at Baldwin High School. He lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife Kate, their son Austin, and their daughter Quinn.
