Pittsburgh, PA - Getting back into conference play the Redhawks (5-5, 3-1) took on the Pioneers (5-8, 1-4) on their home court.
The Pioneers put Tavion Williams (Bronx, NY), Josh Reding (Spencerport, NY), Paris Jamison (Brooklyn, NY), Isaiah Kostyal (Poughkeepsie, NY), and Ryan Rosa (Middletown, NY) on the court to start.
In the first half the Redhawks outscored the Pioneers 50-33.
However, in the second half, Alfred State won the half with 47 points to La Roche's 44.
Even with the three point differential in the second period, the Redhawks still walked away with another win in conference play, and added another win to their overall record.
Josh Reding for the Pioneers led with 20 points and six assists. Reding went 7-10 in field goals, and 5-7 in three point attempts.
Mekhi Belcher not only led Alfred State in rebounds with seven, but was also the next leading scorer with 15 points.
The only other Pioneer to net double digits was Paris Jamison. Jamison contributed 10 points overall.
Kadyn Hannah was the leading scorer tonight for LRU. The freshman played a total of 18 minutes, and in those 18 minutes Hannah netted 30 points. He went 15-16 in field goal attempts, as well as contributing four rebounds and two blocks. Hannah averages almost 11 points a game.
Next up was Joe Pipilo, who added 12 points to the scorebook for the Redhawks. Pipilo also had six rebounds.
Leading the rebounding charge was Jordan Grayson with seven rebounds, as well as seven points.
The final Redhawk claiming double digits tonight was Devon Darrell. Darrell walked away with 10 points on the night, as well as six assists and two steals.
