Preview: Men's Basketball takes on Pitt-Greensburg at Home

Pittsburgh, PA - La Roche (1-5, 0-1) takes on their second conference matchup of the season against Pitt-Greensburg (2-5, 1-0). 

The last time these two teams matched up was in the 2019-20 season; almost two full years ago as the 2020-21 season was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic

The Bobcats and the Redhawks faced off twice during the 2019-20 season. 

The first time these teams faced-off, the end score was 89-73 in favor of LRU. The second time, the stakes were much higher, and the score much closer. However, the Redhawks prevailed and walked away with a victory of 79-75. 

This season however, after having close to a two year hiatus, these teams' records are telling a different story for this coming match up. 

La Roche has a win percentage of 16.7%, compared to Pitt-Greensburg's 28.6%. UPG won their conference opener where the Redhawks were in the game during the first half and then crumbled.

La Roche has a completion average per game of 78.7 points, and 34.8 rebounds per game. The team is netting 44.3%from field goal range, and 33% from the three point line.

Sophomore Joe Pipilo (Bridgeville, PA) is the leading scorer for LRU with an average of 16.2 points per game with an average of 4.5 rebounds. 

Also in double digits for the Redhawks is Devon Darrell (Junior/Lockport, NY) putting 11.8 points per game on the board. 

Jordan Grayson (Junior/McKeesport, PA) is the leading rebounder for LRU. He puts in the book 9 rebounds per game, he also completes 9.5 points per game.
