La Roche Closes Regular Seasons Against the Lions

La Roche Closes Regular Seasons Against the Lions

PITTSBURGH, PA- The second game for the Redhawks did not go quite the way they would have wanted. The Lions won 15-4.

La Roche could not seem to get their bats around against pitcher Jacob Lindow. Whereas the Lions were having an example game at the plate. Penn State-Behrend battled at the plate and loaded the bases twice. Scoring one run on a hit by pitch to give the Lions a 6-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning.

The Redhawks went through four different pitchers in an attempt to slow down the Lions. It was just not in the cards.

The bright spot for La Roche came when Nathan Stutz hit a three run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Josh Speaker was also credited with an RBI after hitting a double into left field earlier in the fifth inning.

Kyle Weitzel and Nathan Stutz both led the team in hits with two a piece.

The Redhawks will play once again in a non-conference matchup with Westminster before they face off with Hilbert in the AMCC playoffs.
