Redhawks Fall To Penn State Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. – La Roche volleyball traveled to Penn State Altoona on Tuesday night, but weren't able to get past the Lions, falling 3-0.

Set one was close, despite a 25-21 defeat for the Redhawks.

Set two was all Altoona early, jumping out in front 11-4 and grew that margin to eight just shy of the midway point at 14-6.

La Roche cut the deficit to five after a 3-0 run, but the Lions responded with a 4-1 run to reopen an eight-point edge at 18-10.

It was all Altoona the rest of the way, outscoring the Redhawks 7-3 down the stretch to win 25-13.

The final set of the night was the closest of the three, ending with a final score of 25-22.

Once again, the Lions stormed ahead, taking control 9-2 in the early stages.

However, La Roche stormed back, scoring 10 of the next 13 points, including a 6-0 run to tie the set at 12-12.
