
NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. - La Roche volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer all earned AMCC Defensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
KYLIE FEHLMAN - AMCC Vollyball Defensive Player of the Week
Fehlman was dominant on the defensive end for the Redhawks this past week as the team went 1-1.
In Wednesday's 3-0 win over Carlow, Fehlman picked up seven total blocks (one solo block/six assisted blocks), averaging 2.33 blocks per set.
In Saturday's defeat at Alfred State, Fehlman picked up four more blocks, all solo blocks.
For the week, Fehlman recorded 11 total blocks (five solo/six assisted), averaging 1.83 blocks per set and eight kills.
MADDOX ANDERSON - AMCC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Anderson came through with a perfect week for La Roche, going 1-0-1 and propelling themselves into playoff contention.
In the first game of the week, a 4-0 victory over Carlow, Anderson picked up his first clean sheet of the season, making three saves.
Anderson followed that performance on Saturday, shutting out the AMCC's first placed Alfred State Pioneers, making five saves in the 0-0 draw.
For the week, Anderson made eight total saves to go with his two clean sheets.
JULIANNA HORNIKEL - AMCC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Hornikel was stellar in net for La Roche this past week, going 2-0-0 as the Redhawks moved into playoff contention with those two victories.
In Tuesday's 5-0 victory over Carlow, Hornikel picked up her second clean sheet of the season, making both saves that came her way across 45 minutes in net.
In Saturday's 1-0 blanking of Alfred State, Hornikel earned her third and second consecutive clean sheet, playing all 90 minutes and stopping all five shots that came her way.
