
LATROBE, Pa. - La Roche women's tennis traveled to meet St. Vincent on Friday evening, but were unable to get past the Bearcats, falling 6-1.
The Redhawks opened the day with a strong showing in #1 doubles behind Teresa Munoz Torrado and Danielle Dominick, but the duo fell just short in a 7-5 match. St. Vincent would take #2 doubles by a final of 6-0, and #3 doubles, 6-1.
Dominick continued her dominance of #2 singles, winning a thrilling 7-5, 6-4 match, improving her #2 singles record to 4-2 overall and her fourth straight win.
The other five single matches went in favor of St. Vincent, winning #1 singles (6-0, 6-1), #3 singles (6-2, 6-0), #4 and #6 singles (6-0, 6-0) and #5 singles (6-0).
The Redhawks conclude the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 6 when they host Penn State Behrend.
