PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's tennis welcomed Mt. Aloysius on Friday night, but were unable to get past the Mounties, falling 6-1.
The Redhawks opened the night with a strong showing in #1 doubles, winning 6-2 behind Teresa Munoz Torrado and Danielle Dominick. In #2 and #3 doubles, La Roche would fall 6-0 and 6-1
In singles action, Dominick swept the night, winning 6-2, 6-1. #1 singles saw Torrado battle to a 6-2, 6-0 defeat, Finley Hohn in #3 pull out a pair in each set, 6-2, 6-2.
Shannon Jenkins reeled off two games in #5 singles, 6-0, 6-2, while Kathryn Strang ended #6 singles at 6-0, 6-1.
La Roche returns to the courts next Sunday, Sept. 22 as it travels to Waynesburg. Opening serve is set for 2 p.m.
