
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - La Roche women's tennis took to the court on Thursday night for a matchup against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. In the end, it was Geneva coming out on top 9-0.
The Golden Tornadoes took down the Redhawks in #1 and #3 doubles action by 6-0 scores, but in #2 doubles, Danielle Dominick and Kathryn Strang came through with a pair of points, despite falling 6-2.
In singles action, only #3 and #4 singles play ended with 6-0, 6-0 wins for host Geneva.
In #1 singles, Teresa Munoz Torrado took a game in a 6-0, 6-1 match. Dominick, had the best game of the night for La Roche, fighting in #2 singles to a score of 6-3, 6-1.
Makayla Abram took a game in #5 singles in the first set, 6-1, 6-0 and in #6 singles, Kiyanna Dowling got two game victories, 6-2, 6-0.
The Redhawks return to action on Sunday, Sept. 15 when they travel to Pitt-Greensburg for AMCC play. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m.
