STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - La Roche women's tennis opened the 2024-25 season on the road against Franciscan on Thursday night, but were unable to get past the Barons, falling 9-0.
Two doubles matches opened the contest, with Franciscan getting the best of the Redhawks in #1 doubles 6-0. In #2 doubles, Danielle Dominick and Kathryn Strang were able to pull out a game, but would fall 6-1.
In singles action, the Barons would take #1, #3 and #4 singles by scores of 6-0, 6-0. #2 doubles saw Dominick take a game in the open set, but unfortunaly fall 6-1, 6-0.
La Roche returns to the courts next Thursday, Sept. 12 as it travels to Geneva. Opening serve is set for 6 p.m.
