GREENSBURG, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer took to the road on Wednesday against Pitt-Greensburg, but were unable to get past the Bobcats, falling 2-0.
Greensburg would end up scoring the game-winning goal in the early stages of the contest, at 11:41, making it a 1-0 game that stayed through the half.
It wasn't until the final minutes of play, 84:52 to be exact, when the Bobcats added an insurance goal to create the 2-0 final.
Junior goalkeeper, Julianna Hornikel, started the game in net, stopping five of the six shots she faced.
Freshman keeper, Danielle Dominick, played the second half, stopping the two of three she faced.
On the offensive end, La Roche had four shots in the game with three on goal.
Grace Motuk led the way with two shots, while her, Alexandra Mecchia and Kiki Nemcek combined for the shots on goal.
The Redhawks return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Hilbert for the regular season finale at 3:15 p.m.
Pending results of Saturday and next week, there is still a chance La Roche can host a home playoff game in the AMCC Tournament.
