PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's soccer celebrated two seniors, Jenna Hotovec and Chi-Chi Ibeawuchi with a thrilling 1-0 victory over Alfred State on Saturday afternoon.
Neither team was able to find the back of the nete in the first half, as it was the Redhawks who hed the edge in shots on goal over the first 45 minutes, 4-1.
In the second half, chances were few for the red and black, but with the one chance they got on net, Alaitz Urutxurtu Irasuegi found the back of the net at 71:58 to seal the victory for La Roche.
Julianna Hornikel was perfect in net for the Redhawks, stopping all five shots she faced.
Eight shots were taken by La Roche throughout the game, led by Alexis Nudds with four and three from Kiki Nemcek. Nemcek would place all three of her shots on goal to lead the team.
