PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer welcomed Penn College on Sunday for a non-conference matchup, but in the end it was the Wildcats who came out victorious, 7-2.

The Redhawks started out hot, scoring just 1:39 into the game as Alexis Nudds found the back of the net, assisted by Alaitz Urutxurtu Irasuegi.

The lead lasted just 1:22 as Penn College tied the game at 3:01, the start of what would be four unanswered first half goals. The other three goals came at 14:18, 18:09 and 39:37 as the score sat 4-1 at the break.

La Roche had another fast start to a half, as it took just 3:00 for the Redhawks to open the second half scoring, when Zaida Gonzalez Rosado trimmed the deficit to 4-2.

The Wildcats then scored the final three goals of the game, in a 6:07 span from 60:46-66:53, sealing the victory.

Freshman goalkeeper, Danielle Dominick, took the loss in net, and saved 10 of the 17 shots she faced.

On the offensive end, Gonzalez Rosado led the team with four shots and placed three of the team's four on net.

The Redhawks have an extended break as they return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 28 when they begin AMCC play against Penn State Behrend. Opening kick is set for 2 p.m.
