PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer welcomed St. Vincent on Thursday for a non-conference matchup, but in the end it was the Bearcats who came out victorious, 4-0.

St. Vincent lit the scoreboard twice in the first half, scoring at 9:42 and 19:15 to hold a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Out of the break, the score moved to 3-0 just 45 seconds into play resuming, then the final tally was netted at 68:38.

The Bearcats led the shot chart at 22-6 and placed 15 on goal, while La Roche had three on the cage.

Junior goalkeeper, Julianna Hornikel, took the loss in net, and saved 11 of the 15 shots she faced.

On the offensive end, Alexandra Mecchia and Zaida Gonzalez Rosado led the team with two shots, while combining for two of the three on net.

The Redhawks conclude the week against Penn College on Sunday, Sept. 22. Opening kick is set for 2 p.m.
