Redhawks Earn Fourth Shutout Victory, Top Mounties 1-0

CRESSON, Pa. – In a defensive battle La Roche women's soccer earned its second straight conference win, blanking Mt. Aloysius 1-0.

Tonight marked the fourth shutout victory for the Redhawks, marking the first time since 2014 that La Roche has shutout four opponents in a single season that came with a win.

Furthermore, it has extended the Redhawks streak to now 272:17 without allowing a goal.

The lone goal of the night came at 59:45 as Chastity Bundy scored her first collegiate goal in her 42nd game to break the scoreless tie and seal the win for the Redhawks.

The La Roche defense was exceptional, limiting the Mounties, who entered the game averaging just under four goals per game in conference play, to just two shots the entire night.

Goalkeeper Julianna Hornikel earned the clean sheet and was successful stopping bot hof the attempts that came her way.

On the offensive end, Victoria Biagetti led the way with two shots in the game, while Bundy and three freshmen (Nemcek, Mull and Gould) combined for the four shots on goal for the Redhawks.

La Roche now prepares for a return home as it hosts Pitt-Bradford on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
