LATROBE, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer traveled to St. Vincent for a Friday matchup against the Bearcats, unfortunately falling by a final score of 7-0.

After a quiet opening 26 minutes, St. Vincent would go on to score two goals in 14 seconds at 26:54 and 27:08, followed by a goal at 38:28 to take a 3-0 lead into the half.

In the second half, the Bearcats would score three goals in the first 10:10 and then finished the scoring at the 83:36.

For the game, St. Vincent outshot La Roche 26-9, with the Bearcats having 20 shots on goal and the Redhawks having five.

Julianna Hornikel saved one of four shots she faced, while Casey Semanko halted 12 of 16.

Alexis Nudds led the team with three shots on the night, while it was Alexandra Mecchia who had a team best two shots on goal.

La Roche continues its road trip on Sunday, Sept. 17 when they travel to Bethany, W.V. for a 1 p.m. kickoff against the Bethany Bison.
