PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer took to the pitch on Friday afternoon, but were unable to get past the Westminster Titans, falling 5-0.
Through one half of play, it was Westminster holding a 2-0 lead, off goals scored 17 seconds in and at the 3:39 mark.
The second half again favored the Titans, netting three more goals at 52:07, 70:19 and 83:28.
La Roche did a great job weathering the early first half storm, holding Westminster of the board for nearly 50 minutes between the second and third goals.
The Titans led the game with 17 shots, 12 of which were on net, as the Redhawks had three shots and two on goal.
La Roche has an extended break as they return to the pitch on Tuesday, Sept. 12 for a 5 p.m. kickoff against Geneva at the Baierl Athletic Complex.
