WAYNESBURG, Pa. – La Roche women's soccer hit the road for the first time this season, ultimately falling to the Yellow Jackets, 8-1.

Through one half of play, Waynesburg took all the momentum and wasted no time, putting four goals in the net in the opening half, including three in the first 14:03.

Waynesburg continued rolling in the second half, scoring four more goals.

La Roche would score its lone goal of the night between the Yellow Jackets third and fourth goals of the second half, as freshman Kiki Nemcheck scored her first collegiate goal on an assist by fellow freshman and reigning AMCC Offensive Player of the Week, Finnleigh Gould.

Waynesburg led the night with 21 shots, 12 of which were on net, as the Redhawks had six shots and three on goal.

Alexandra Mecchia led the team offensively with two shots on the night.

La Roche has a day to remove the thought of tonight's game, as they host Westminster on Friday, Sep. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Baierl Athletic Complex.
