NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. – La Roche University freshman women's soccer player Finnleigh Gould was named AMCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the conference on Tuesday.

Playing in her first two games collegiately, Gould made an immediate impact for the Redhawks, scoring a goal in each of La Roche's two games this opening weekend.

In a 3-0 victory over Thiel on Friday, Gould netted a penalty kick goal to become the first freshman to score in the opening game of the season since 2018.

She followed that with her second goal of the weekend in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to W&J.

Gould also had an 80% shot on goal percentage, placing four of her five shots over the weekend on the cage.
