Women's Soccer Falls to Division One Opponent

PITTSBURGH, PA - This afternoon La Roche women's soccer went a little out of their comfort zone, and their division and took on a division one opponent. The Colonials of Robert Morris University came to the Baierl Athletic Complex to spar with the Redhawks. 

It was a tough 90 minutes for La Roche as they battled. They in fact almost held the Colonials scoreless in the first half, but Miyu Kojima was able to put one in the net around the 43 minute mark. 

Thriving in tonight's game was freshman goalie, Jules Hornikel who was credited with the loss, but also recorded 11 saves, but only allowed one goal. Hornikel also was able to achieve her 100th save of the season during this contest. 

Alexandra Mecchia was the only Redhawk to get a shot off on the Colonials which was saved by their goalkeeper. 

Robert Morris was able to net one more before the contest was over from the head of Nicola Mosionek. The Colonials were the final victor with a score of 2-0.
