Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Trinity (D.C.) 19-2

WASHINGTON, D.C. – La Roche women's lacrosse bounced back after suffering its first loss on Wednesday, with a dominant, 19-2 win over Trinity (D.C.).

The first quarter was all Redhawks, scoring 10 of their 19 goals in the opening 15 minutes of the game.

Nicole Schroeder opened the scoring at 14:15 scoring free position and the onslaught was on from there.

Alecia D'Urso netted five goals in the quarter, while Jasey Reiser added three and Kinsey Sperling with one of her own.

Reiser added an assist in the first, as did Sperling, Alex Mecchia Jaina Ilko and two by Jade Fuccaro.

The lone Redhawk goal in the second quarter opened the scoring when Sperling scored on an assist by D'Urso, then Trinity scored the final goal to make it 11-1 at the half.

Out of the half, La Roche was back on the scoring hunt, netting five more goals.

Kiki Nemcek dialed up a pair of goals in the third, as did Fuccaro, Ilko and Reiser. Mecchia picked up a pair of assists in the frame and Kayla Mull added one as well.

The fourth quarter was 3-1 in favor of the Redhawks. Alecia D'Urso picked up her sixth and seventh goals of the game, one assisted by Sperling, while Reiser added her fifth of the day,

The shot total ended in favor of La Roche, 29-9 and shots on goal were 28-6.

La Roche has a week off before returning to action on Saturday, Mar. 29 when they host Hilbert to begin AMCC play.
