
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - La Roche women's lacrosse continued its historic start to the 2025 season this past week and in doing so, swept the AMCC Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference on Monday.
A senior attacker, Reiser was dynamic on the offensive end for the Redhawks in their 2-0 week.
In Tuesday's victory over Bethany, Reiser scored four goals, added two assists, eight draw controls and had a ground ball.
She followed that performance in Saturday's victory over Spalding with six goals, three assists, six draw controls and a pair of ground balls.
For the week, Reiser recorded 15 points (10 goals, five assists), 14 draw controls and three ground balls.
Hornikel was strong in goal during La Roche's 2-0 week. In Tuesday's win over Bethany, Hornikel stoped 13 shots, scooped up a ground ball and caused a turnover.
Hornikel picked up her second victory of the week over Spalding, stopping 11 more shots, picked up three ground balls and caused two more turnovers.
For the week, Hornikel stopped 24 of 40 shots she faced, nearly a .500 save percentage, had four ground balls and caused three turnovers.
