That's a Wrap: Women's Lacrosse

PITTSBURGH, PA - La Roche University's women's lacrosse team has officially shut the door on their 2022 season. It was a season of ups and downs, but overall one of learning. 

The team recorded their first ever program win since becoming an official NCAA varsity team. Their win came over Waynesburg with a final score of 22-9. 

Courtney Spiering took the cake with 10 goals that game. She also recorded one assist and three ground balls. 

Tara Lasher only allowed nine goals on 20 shots. Speaking of Tara Lasher she was named 11th in the nation with total saves with 97 halfway through the season. She also recorded a milestone 100 saves, and ended the season with a total of 165 in her sophomore season. 

Another notable mention for the Redhawks is Cecilia Liguori. Liguori finished her season with four goals and five assists. She is fourth in the United East conference with an average of 3.69 ground balls per game. Liguori is also ranked third in ground controls per game with an average of 6.15.

Head coach, Lisa Evans and her team will be back and ready to rock and roll next year with some fresh players and ready to get some more wins under their belt.
