Bowling Competes in AMCC #2 Round Robin; Earns Bid to Championships Playoffs

The Redhawks traveled to Buffalo, NY to compete in the second Round Robin of the AMCCs Competition consisted of 5 sets of 5 Baker games against each team.

Day 1 started off strong with wins against Penn State Altoona and Hilbert, which would later be crucial to the overall standings. Falling to New Jersey City, St. Vincent, and Medaille, the day ended with a 2/3 record.

On day 2 the team came out ready to compete. The first match against Penn State Behrend was close but ended in the Redhawks' loss by 23 pins. Another close back-and-forth match against Pitt Bradford resulted in a loss by 41 pins. Those close games boosted the team to wins against William Smith, Mount Aloysius, and Pitt Greensburg.

The weekend resulted in a tie for 5th finish with a 5/5 record. Combined with the AMCC Round Robin played in Greensburg 2 weeks ago, the team tied for overall 6th place with Hilbert. Only the top 6 teams qualify for the Championships, so it came down to the tie-breaker criteria.

The win against Hilbert on Saturday as well as the win against them in Round 1 solidified La Roche's spot in the Championships!

Championships will be held on March 25-26 at Pines Plaza Lanes in Pittsburgh, PA
