Women's Bowling Ends Fantastic Season at AMCC Championships

BEAVER, PA - Today, the La Roche Bowling team, which is only three years old, competed in their first ever AMCC Championships Tournament.

They faced off this morning with number four seed Penn State-Behrend, and after a best of seven, the Redhawks unfortunately did not get to move on to the second match of the day.

Although their season may be over, this team achieved so much this year as their third year as a program.

"I'm extremely proud of these ladies and their growth this year.  They have developed individually and as a team leading to a strong performance at Championships. Most importantly, they didn't give up and fought through to the last game," said Head Coach Diane Jones.

Ashley Krivansky was named La Roche's pick to the all-tournament team, and there were two LRU who were named all-conference and those results are to be released later this week.

Overall, the Redhawks finished fifth out of nine teams.

Bowling will be back next October to accomplish more feats, and to bring pride to the Redhawk name.
