NEW BOSTON, N.Y. - La Roche women's basketball graduate forward Machia Hairston earned AMCC Player of the Week honors for her dominant performance over this past week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Hairston was as close to perfect you can be in the Redhawks 99-70 victory over Thiel on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Hairston put together her sixth double-double of the season, behind a career high 35 points, going a remarkable 16-for-18 shooting from the floor. The 16 made shots are the second most field goals made in a game across all NCAA Divisions this year.

Hairston went on to collect 17 rebounds, her fifth time this season securing 15 or more, to go alongside five assists, five steals and a block for a loaded stat line.

Hairston currently is averaging a double-double on the season, netting 15.7 points per game (7th AMCC) and a league leading 12.8 rebounds per game.
