Women's Basketball Completes Sweep over Penn-State Altoona; La Roche has Won 14 Straight Games

PITTSBURGH, PA - Women's basketball complete their sweep over Penn State-Altoona this evening with a 109-46 win over the Lions. 

Altoona only held the lead for a total of 13 seconds before La Roche took over and played their game. Machia Hairston led the team tonight, netting 21 points, and 9 rebounds. 

Following shortly behind was Danajah Sanders with 20 points, who also earned 5 assists. 

Makayla Abram shot 60% from the floor, earning 13 points, and adding 7 rebounds. 

With the core three for the Redhawks putting in work, the La Roche reserves got to hit the court. 

Alexis Robison had herself a day. The sophomore shot 4-for-6 from deep, 7-for-9 overall, and went 1-for-1 from the free throw line, for a grand total of 19 points for the evening. Robison also added 3 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

The prime reason these points got scored was because of Jazmine Dunn, the freshman point guard. Dunn had 9 assists, 4 steals, and 5 points this evening. 

Dasha Jackson was putting in work in the paint tonight on both offense and defense. Jackson netted 10 points and snagged 7 boards. 

Last, but certainly not least, FiFi Jackson scored 12 points this afternoon to wrap up the double-digit scorers for La Roche. 

The Redhawks are on the road for their last regular season game of the year against Alfred State but don't worry, they'll be back. That's right, your women's basketball team will be hosting the AMCC Championships the weekend fo February 24-25.
