Women's Basketball Opens Conference Season with a Triple Digit Win

BRADFORD, PA - Women'sevening with Basketball opened up their conference season with a win this evening. 

The Pitt-Bradford Panthers were no match for the Redhawks. The contests held zero lead changes, and zero ties. The matchup saw five La Roche players earn double digits. The highest scoring was Danajah Sanders, named AMCC Pre-Season Player of the Year. She proved the honor to have been well-earned and had 24 points in tonight's game to back it. 

La Roche forwards Machia Hairston and Makayla Abram dominated in the paint this evening. Each earned double digits, Hairston with 18 and Abram with 15. 

The Redhawk defense is what earned the team 34 points, which the team was able to accomplish through caused turnovers. The La Roche reserves collected the team 43 points. Alexis Robison and Janessa Goins took the playing time and turned it into excellent scoring opportunities. Goins netted 11 points while Robison sunk 10. 

The final score was 105-47. La Roche will be back on their home court this Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM.
