Redhawks Feuded Through Tough Loss against Lions

Erie, PA - The La Roche University women's basketball team made a quick 48 hour turn around to push on to the next game in conference play. LRU headed to Erie to take on Penn State-Behrend.

Unfortunately, La Roche moved to 2-2 in the conference and Lions maintained their 5-0 record in conference.

The third quarter was the ultimate downfall for the Redhawks; only scoring eight points to Behrend's 16.

There are bright spots in the stat lines for the Redhawks. The team had more offensive rebounds than the Lions tonight, claiming credit 19 offensive rebounds to PSB's 13. La Roche's leading rebounder was Machia Hairston with eight. All of these offensive rebounds led to six second chance points.

The leader of tonight's army for the Redhawks was Ayanna Mazyck, who netted 10 points tonight, the only Redhawk to hit double digits in tonight's contest.

Completing eight points tonight, and as mentioned before, the leading rebounder Hairston LRU's next leading scorer.

The Lady Redhawks will do another 48 hour turnaround and head to Buffalo, NY to take on Medaille College at 2:00 PM.
