Cole AMCC Player of the Year, Gissendanner Coach of the Year, Anderson All-Conference Third Team

La Roche College basketball's success did not go unnoticed in this year's AMCC All-Conference voting. The AMCC Regular Season Champions placed three on the AMCC All-Conference Team.

Jenna Cole was named the AMCC Player of the Year and to the AMCC All-Conference First Team. Dasja Anderson was just one of three freshmen to make the All-Conference Team, and was voted to the Third Team. Kamela Gissendanner is the AMCC Coach of the Year for the third time.

AMCC All-Conference Team

Cole is the AMCC Player of the Year after leading the conference and ranking eighteenth nationally in scoring average. Her 20.1 points per game are the eighth most in AMCC history.

Cole was an offensive threat all over the court and she scored in double-figures in every game. She led the AMCC in field goals and free throws, ranked second in free throw percentage, sixth in field goal percentage, and ninth in three-point percentage. She was strong on the boards, ranking sixth in offensive rebounds and eleventh in total rebounds.

Cole has made the AMCC All-Conference Team three times and she is a 1000 point scorer.

Anderson's terrific freshman campaign earned her a spot on the All-Conference Third Team. She teamed with Cole to form one of the top frontcourts in the AMCC.

Anderson was one of the better all-around players in the AMCC, ranking in the top 20 in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals. She averaged in double-figures with 12 points per game and was La Roche's second leading scorer. She had 5 double-doubles on the season.

Kamela Gissendanner is the AMCC Coach of the Year for the third time. Gissendanner guided the Redhawks to their eighth AMCC Regular Season title and the sixth under her watch.

La Roche was predicted to finish third in the conference, but Gissendanner helped the 2018-19 squad improve by six AMCC wins over last season, and climb all the way to the top of the standings. They also climbed five spots in total offense and seven in total defense.

Coming into the season, Gissendanner ranked fourth among active coaches in win-percentage.
