Redhawk’s Win Streak Ends at 4 Games
The Redhawks had an important matchup this Monday against division rival, Hilbert. The Redhawks came up short losing 66-56. The team now sits in second place behind Hilbert in the division. Both teams have an 8-2 conference record. 
 
5 minutes in Hilbert took a comfortable lead of 13-3. Their 3 offensive rebounds led them to continued scoring chances. At the end of the 1st quarter the Redhawks were down 21-10. 
 
The second quarter had a familiar start to the first, as Hilbert went on an 8-0 run in the first 5 minutes until, La Roche forward Jenna Cole was fouled and made her two free throws to make it 21-12. 
 
The Redhawks ended up only trailing 34-28 at the end of the first half. They made 3 three-pointers to help them come within 6 points. 
 
After 10 more minutes, the Redhawks found themselves down by 22 points, 56-34. 
 
The Redhawks surged for a comeback in the 4th quarter. Going on an 11-0 run to the end the game, but they just fell short. 
 
Jenna Cole led the Redhawks in minutes played, 38, and points scored, 20. Danajah Sanders came off the bench and played 32 minutes. She also added 14 points.
 
The Redhawks only had 16 turnovers compared the Hilbert's 23. The Redhawks achieved 25 points from those turnovers while Hilbert only got 19 points from turnovers. The Redhawks clearly executed an opportunistic style of play. 
 
The Redhawks had 24 bench points. Hilbert's reserves had no points, but their starting lineup all produced 10 points or more each.

Jenna Cole is still first in the conference in Points Per Game with 19.7, and second in Free Throw Percentage at 87.2%. 
 
Shaundrea Butler is second in Field Goal Percentage at 49.5%. Third in Steals Per Game, averaging 2.6. And, she's also third in Assists Per Game, averaging 5.8. 
Dasja Anderson is also third in the AMCC in Field Goal Percentage, sitting with 48.5%.
 
The Redhawk's next game is this Wednesday, January 23rd at La Roche. They face Pitt-Greensburg who currently sit 7th in the conference with a 5-11 record.
