BRADFORD, Pa. – La Roche softball traveled to face Pitt-Bradford on Friday and came out of the doubleheader with another split.

GAME ONE: Pitt-Bradford 3 La Roche 1

Game one saw all scoring happen in the second inning and it was the Redhawks scoring the first run of the game, when Anastacia Jacobs drove in Makenzie Formeck with an RBI single.

Pitt-Bradford would respond in the bottom of the second with a pair of home runs, one a solo homer and another a two-run shot, closing the scoring in the game.

Klover Haberthier got the start and in 5.1 innings, allowing three runs, seven hits, two walks and struck out one.

Maura Wade threw a hitless 0.2 innings of relief.

Offensively, La Roche had four hits, scattered amongst four batters.

GAME TWO: La Roche 6 Pitt-Bradford 4

Game two scoring wouldn't begin until the third inning, once again being started by the Redhawks with two runs in the frame.

Jacobs would drive in her second run of the twin-bill on an RBI bunt single, then Brooke Murgenovich would make it 2-0, scoring on a double play.

The Panthers added their first tally in the bottom of the third off an RBI single to make it 2-1.

La Roche would regain a two-run edge in the top of the fourth on a Wade RBI single, then produced three more runs in the top of the fifth off a Garrah Milochik sacrifice fly and RBI singles from Formeck and Samantha Dixon, moving ahead 6-1.

Scoring closed in the bottom of the fifth, as Bradford trim the deficit to 6-4 with three runs of its own, but the Redhawks would close the door in the sixth and seventh.

Wade got the start in game two, throwing 6.1 innings, allowing three runs (two earned), six hits, two walks and struck out four.

Finley Hohn tossed 0.2 innings of relief, allowing one run, one hit and struck out one.

Offensively, the Redhawks collected 14 hits, led by a 3-for-4 game from Cassidee Fitterer, while Wade and Murgenovich each had two hits.

La Roche is back in action on Tuesday, Apr. 22 when they face Carlow. The game will be played at La Roche, but the Redhawks will be the designated road team.
