Redhawks End Season against Penn State Altoona

Redhawks End Season against Penn State Altoona

ERIE, PA - After fighting in extra innings to stay alive in their first game of the day, the Redhawks struggled to get a run across home plate. Unfortunately for La Roche, the Penn State Altoona Lions would be the team advancing to the next game.

Both teams were evenly matched with hits. Altoona recorded 9 hits while the Redhawks recorded 8, but the team just could not seem to get the timing right to score any runs.

Ashtin Hoover once again led the drive at the plate. The sophomore went 2-for-2 in the second game of the day. Emma Bizay also socked two hits, one being a double into centerfield. Ashlee Bair, Alexis Myers, and Macy Vignolini recorded one hit each.

Kennedi Winslow recorded the loss in the circle for her team and threw two and threw two and one-third innings until senior Alexis Myers came in to finish her career as a Redhawk in the circle.

Myers and Hoover were named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team for their outstanding performances over two days of playoffs.

Although the team is hanging up their cleats for this season, we know their future is bright and are excited for next season already.
