WAYNESBURG, PA - The Redhawks traveled to Waynesburg to take on the Yellow Jackets in a doubleheader feature. The Redhawks fought hard and split the series with the Yellow Jackets. 

GAME ONE 

The contest was tied 2-2 until the top of the seventh when Kennedi Winslow was able to put a sacrifice fly out into center field and was able to allow Macy Vignolini the chance to cross home plate and earn the winning run. For added insurance, Ashlee Bair grounded out to shortstop, but Katie Gaughan took the opportunity to sneak across home plate and put La Roche up by another run to solidify their lead. 

Kennedi Winslow, Ashlee Bair, Garrah Milochik, and Brandi Clyde each recorded an RBI on the day. 

Winslow took the win on the mound, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, and 2 strikeouts. 

GAME TWO

After La Roche defeated Waynesburg in the first contest the Yellow Jackets came out with vengeance in the second session of the doubleheader. This need led the Yellow Jackets to defeat La Roche in game two. 

La Roche got the first run in the first inning from a sacrifice fly from Ashlee Bair to drive in Kennedi Winslow who stole second to be able to have a shot at crossing home plate. 

A grand slam in the 5th inning from the Yellow Jackets secured them the win, and although the Redhawks never gave up, they were not able to come back from the deficit. 

Winslow hit a double in game two to lead La Roche in the offensive onslaught. Bair recorded the only RBI in game two.
