McCANDLESS, Pa. - The La Roche softball program announced it's schedule for the 2020 season Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Redhawks' spring schedule is highlighted by 10 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheaders and 10 home doubleheaders to be played on campus at the Baierl Athletic Complex.

La Roche is slated to open its 2020 schedule at the annual Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC. Dates, times and locations are still to be determined.

After the teams early March spring break trip, the Redhawks will return to Pittsburgh to play four home doubleheaders starting with conference opponents Hilbert (Saturday, March 21st at 3:00 p.m.) and Penn St. Behrend (Tuesday, March 24th at 3:00 p.m.). La Roche concludes the month of March with two non-conference doubleheaders against Chatham (Thursday, March 26th at 3:00 p.m.) and Saint Vincent (Monday, March 30th at 3:00 p.m.)

The black and red open the month of April with three straight road AMCC doubleheaders, starting with reigning AMCC Champions Mt. Aloysius (Wednesday, April 1st at 3:00 p.m.). Then, the team travels north to Buffalo, NY to face Medaille (Saturday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m.) and finishes their road trip against D'Youville (Sunday, April 5th at 1:00 p.m.). After a conference home game vs. Pitt.-Greensburg (Tuesday, April 7th at 3:00 p.m.), LRU plays at Thiel (Friday, April 10th at 3:00 p.m.). The Redhawks then play three consecutive home doubleheaders against non-conference opponent Oberlin (Saturday, April 11th at 1:00 p.m.) and AMCC foes Franciscan (Wednesday, April 15th at 3:00 p.m.) and Pitt Bradford (Saturday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m.).

LRU hits the road again to play two away doubleheaders against non-conference rival Westminster (Monday, April 20th at 3:00 p.m.) and AMCC opponent Penn St. Altoona (Wednesday, April 22nd at 3:00 p.m). The Redhawks close out the month of April with a home contest against local non-conference opponent Washington & Jefferson (Friday, April 24th at 3:00 p.m.), an away bout against AMCC foe Alfred St. (Saturday, April 25th at 1:00 p.m.) and play their final regular season home games vs. Grove City (Tuesday, April 28th at 3:00 p.m.).
