Men's Cross Country Runs Against Mt. Aloysius

CRESSON, Pa. - La Roche University men's and women's cross country ran at Mt. Aloysius on Thursday, with the men placing second as a team and the women running as individuals.

In the 5k meet, seven runners competed between the two schools on the women's side, with Samantha Bainbridge leading the Redhawks with a second-place finish, clocking in at 24:53.

Morgan Yezovich followed with a time of 33:54 in fifth place, while Laura Titi closed out the La Roche order with a time of 46:05 to place seventh.

In the men's race, Atai Aituvarov paced the Redhawks, setting a program 5k record mark of 20:19 in his fifth-place finish in the 13-runner field.

Matthew Mars and Nathan Stockton crossed the line in succession, placing eighth and ninth with times of 24:39 and 25:53, while Robert Johnson and Patrick Chewning also ended the race next to each other in 12th and 13th places with final times of 32:52 and 33:05.

La Roche hits the trails one last time before the AMCC Championships as it hosts the La Roche Invitational on Friday, Oct. 20.
