BRADFORD, Pa. – La Roche men's soccer traveled to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday afternoon, but despite a late game tying goal by the red and black, it was the Panthers coming out on top, 3-2.
La Roche struck first at 23:50 when Malvin Madzimbamuto found Jesus Angel Jimenez to give the Redhawks the edge midway through the first half.
The lead would last only 5:43 as Bradford scored the equalizer to make it 1-1, which would hold into the half.
Out of the break, the Panthers took the lead quickly, scoring just 3:25 into the second half making it a 2-1 game.
In the later stages of the second, Aiden Mukanos-Kramer came up big for the Redhawks, tying the game at 2-2 with his first collegiate goal.
Unfortunately for La Roche, the tie lasted only 3:35 as Bradford scored what would be the game winner at 79:52.
The Redhawks had 17 shots in the game, led by Anthony Valerio's four and Samuel Mastroberardino's three. Six of the 17 shots were on net with Mukanos-Kramer and Mastroberardino both placing a pair on the frame.
La Roche returns to battle on Tuesday, October 15 when they host Carlow for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
