PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's soccer opened AMCC play against Penn State Behrend on Saturday afternoon, but it was the visiting Lions coming out on top, 3-0.

It was a battle in the first half, as neither team was willing to give up ground, as the match remained scoreless going into halftime.

Out of the break, nearly 15 minutes elapsed before Behrend found the back of the net for the first time, scoring at 59:21 to take a 1-0 lead.

At 73:35, the Lions upped the edge to 2-0 and then took just 2:12 afterwards to score the third and final goal of the game.

Nico Manos and Austin Emery delivered the two La Roche shots on goal in the game, while Maddox Anderson did all he could in net, stopping seven of the 10 shots that came his way.

The Redhawks return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as they welcome Penn State Altoona to the Baierl Athletic Complex for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
