WASHINGTON CO., Pa. – La Roche men's soccer hit the road for a non-conference matchup against W&J on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, for the Redhawks, it ended in defeat by a final score of 4-1.

The Presidents would gain control at 28:09 with the opening goal, then again just 3:54 later to take a 2-0 lead, one it would hold going into halftime.

At 56:41, W&J struck for its third goal of the night and would then score its final goal at 68:29.

La Roche refused to go down scoreless, as Mohammed Alhazmi scored his first career goal at 86:17 to close the scoring.

21-10 was the final shot total in favor of the Presidents, with shots on goal also going in favor of the hosts, 8-6.

10 different players had a shot for the Redhawks, while six of them hit the target once.

La Roche has a week off until returning to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 25 as they welcome Hiram to the Baierl Athletic Complex. Opening kick is slated for 4 p.m.
