PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche men's soccer hit the road for a non-conference matchup against Westminster on Wednesday night.
Unfortunately, for the Redhawks, a pair of first half goals by the Titans would prove to be the difference, as the red and black fell by a final score of 3-0.
It took just 9:21 for Westminster to find the back of the net and then again at 24:00 to score the insurance goal to make it 2-0.
The remainder of the first half stood pat and it remained a two-point deficit at the break, despite a red card at 24:09 putting the red and black a man down the remainder of the contest.
The Titans, a man up, would control the second half and added one last tally at 74:43 to make it the 3-0 final score.
Playing a man down limited La Roche to just three shots, one of which was on target by Malvin Madzimbamuto.
In net, Maddox Anderson stopped four of seven shots that came his way.
The Redhawks return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14 as they welcome Thiel to the Baierl Athletic Complex for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
