PITTSBURGH, Pa - The La Roche University men's soccer team defeated the Saint Vincent Bearcats 6-0 tonight at the Baierl Athletic Complex. The win was not only the first of the season, but the first of head coach Nick Russo's collegiate career. Russo, a 2010 graduate and former all-conference defender, got the water cooler treatment after downing the bearcats for the 6th consecutive matchup.

Junior Forward Kyle Harriett led the charge with a hat-trick, scoring twice in the first half and once in the second. Three other players had a goal a piece (Jake Gorman, Samuel Kamagate & Peter Kuir). Prior to tonight's game, the Redhawks had 5 shots on goal and 1 goal in two games. Today, they had 6 shots on goal, 1 penalty kick and 6 goals. In 2018, the Redhawks scored 6 goals twice all season, both games were in mid-October.

NEXT UP: La Roche hits the road to take on Carnegie Mellon University this Sunday at 3:00 PM. Last year, the Redhawks lost 10-0 to CMU.
