Kelly Scores Twice As Redhawks Cruise At Hilbert
Hamburg, NY -- The La Roche men's soccer team claimed victory in conference road action on Saturday at Hilbert. The Redhawks downed Hilbert 6-1 to win their second straight conference game.

Ryan Kelly scored twice. Ximo Vicent, Firas Abduljawed, Dante Nicholas, and Zachary Bauerle all tallied goals. La Roche outshot Hilbert 51-4.

La Roche came prepared and ready to earn their second straight victory. Abduljawed got the offense going with a shot just seconds into the game. Both teams fought to score first, and La Roche succeeded with a goal in the forty-third minute. Vicent made his way toward goal and shot a hard liner past the Hilbert goalie.

The Redhawks came out of the lockerroom hungry for another goal. Abduljawed complied, and rocketed a shot just outside of the box for a 2-0 lead. In the fifty seventh minute, Chris Desser sent a pass to Dante Nicholas, who cut around a defender and chipped it over the goalie for a 3-0 score. Ryan Kelly scored goals in the sixty-sixth and sixty-seventh minutes. The first, Hugo Arroyo fed a ball in front of net which Kelly one touched. A minute later, Vicent gave a thru ball and Kelly zoomed past the defenders and finished. Kelly set up Zach Bauerle for the final goal. The Redhawks gave up a penalty kick late to lose the shutout.

La Roche will look for their third straight win this Wednesday when they host Pitt Greensburg.
