The La Roche College men's soccer team fell to 0-2 after a 5-0 loss to Mt. Union on Wednesday evening. The Redhawks will travel to St. Vincent on Friday for a 4pm start.

Garrett Berner got the start in net and made three quick saves including a diving stop on a penalty kick. Berner kept the Purple Raiders off the scoreboard before they finally broke through in the twenty-sixth minute. Mt. Union added another goal in the thirtieth minute and entered halftime with a 2-0 advantage.

Mt. Union got another chance at a penalty kick and this time converted for a 3-0 lead in the fiftieth minute. The Purple Raiders added a goal less than a minute later and another in the seventy-third.

Berner was solid in his first career start. He made 13 saves including a quality save on a PK.
