ALLIANCE, OH -- The La Roche men's soccer team's tough 2017 non-conference schedule continued with a tough Monday night game at Mt. Union. The Redhawks played sound defensive soccer and had opportunities on goal, but ultimately fell on the road 3-0.

Mt. Union's Brian Beltz struck first with a goal in the tenth minute but Redhawks' keeper Abdul Aljundi was excellent in net. Aljundi made three first half saves to keep it a one goal game heading into the lockerroom. Pedro Ansede and Aaron Lagnese provided the offense with a shot a piece in the first half, but neither could find the equalizer.

The Raider's Stephen Dages made it a 2-0 game with a goal in the fifty-third minute and added another in the sixty-eighth. Aljundi added six more stops in the second half to keep it close.

Aljundi finished with 9 saves while Ansede had two shots on goal. 

The Redhawks conclude non-conference play on Wednesday with a 7:30pm game at Wesminster. La Roche used an Ansede 2OT goal to lift the Redhawks over the Titans in a thriller last season.
