Weimerskirch Scores His 10th Goal of the Season in Big Win

BUFFALO, NY – Bryan Weimerskirch scored his 10th goal of the season to help La Roche men's soccer (7-8, 6-2) down Hilbert College (7-7-1, 5-3) 1-0 on a cold, wet, and rainy day in Buffalo.

The Redhawks grabbed the lead in the 39th minute and played stellar defense to hold the one goal advantage. Dan Geltzhizer, Tyler Irwin, Kurt Hoover, and Joshua Casey combined to keep the host Hawks scoreless.

Weimerskirch's goal netted him double-digit goals for the second consecutive year. Tyler Balzer finished with an assist and Weimerskirch and Tyler Irwin each had 2 shots. Nick Sabol recorded his first shutout of the year in the win.

La Roche men's soccer will host Pitt-Greensburg in their regular season finale on Tuesday. The Panthers currently sit a half game back of La Roche in the AMCC Conference playoffs.
