Men's Soccer Extends Series Win Streak to Nine Against Mt. Aloysius

CRESSON, PA – Bryan Weimerskirch scored twice to extend his goal-streak to 3 games as La Roche men's soccer (4-6-1, 3-1) upended Mt. Aloysius (2-9, 0-3) 3-1 on Wednesday evening. The win improves the Redhawks' record to 9-0 all-time against their conference rivals.

Chad Trozzi gave La Roche an early lead with his second goal of the season before Weimerskirch added a goal to give the visiting Redhawks a 2-0 lead. Mt. Aloysius answered in the 83rd minute to cut the deficit to one but Weimerskirch scored his second to end the threat.

Weimerskirch's two goals give him a team-leading 8 goals on the year and Trozzi added a his second goal this season. Tyler Balzer assisted on both of Weimerskirch's goals and Dave Hidinger registered his first career point with an assist on Trozzi's goal.

La Roche outshot the host Mounties 15-10 and attempted 4 more corner kicks. Nick Sabol made 7 saves to record his third win of the season.
