Weimerskirch Nets First Career Hat Trick in Blowout Win Over Penn State Beaver

UNIONVILLE, PA – Sophomore striker Bryan Weimerskirch netted his first-career hat trick and La Roche (1-2) recorded their most shots in a game since the 2008 season to down Penn State Beaver (0-3) 7-3 in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

Freddie Jones scored his first career goal and Tyler Balzer added a goal and an assist. Chad Trozzi and Tyler Irwin recorded a goal each while Ryan Luffey assisted on 2 scores. Robert Fraino, Matt Domiano, and Matt Bopp got on the board with assists in the win.

La Roche outshot the host Lions 37-11 including a 25-5 performance in the first half. Andrew Rice started his first ever game in goal and made 2 saves while Kevin Kowalsky saw his first collegiate action replacing Rice in the 88th minute.

La Roche men's soccer returns to the pitch on Saturday when they host Washington and Jefferson. W&J is coming off a 3-0 loss to Case Western Reserve Academy.
